Human Factor Awareness Training

This half day training course at the CATCH Facility, Stallingbrough, provides an overview of Human Factors for people new to the topic. 

The course is aimed at providing anyone who may need to be involved in Human Factors related work with basic Human Factors concepts.  The course is based around exercises and activities, using multimedia tools to draw on experiences from the group.  Whether you are a safety professional who has been asked to take a role in managing human factors, or an operator or technician assisting with Human Factors assessments, this course is for you.

Participants will leave the training session with an

  • Overview of Human Factors
  • Understanding Human Error and Performance Influencing Factors (PIFs)
  • Understanding of how to recognise and address human factors issues in the workplace
  • High level understanding of important PIFs (inc. design, workload, fatigue, procedures, safety critical communication etc.).
