Julie and Pippa are both presenting papers at the 33rd Hazards Conference, November 7th-9th, Birmingham.
Julie will be presenting on our Human Factors Health Check with Neil Kirk, EHS Manager at Dr Reddy’s Laboratories. We’ve found the Health Check enables sites to get a strong grasp of what they are doing well, and what could be done better on Human Factors. Neil used the Health Check report and prioritised recommendations to establish an action plan for DRL’s Mirfield which has allowed them to achieve compliance on core topics. Better yet, he was able to have evidence based discussions with the regulator about the establishment’s priorities.
Pippa will be presenting with Lorraine Braben (LB Consulting Ltd) and Jamie Henderson (Human Reliability Associates) on the development of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors new guidance on Human Factors Assessment of Critical Tasks. The guidance was developed with input from the Health and Safety Executive’s Human Factors management team and represents relevant good practice in carrying out critical task assessments.
Copies of the CIEHF guidance will be available for free at the presentation and from our exhibition stand. Come and see us to find out all about our services and training courses at Stand 19 – we’re in the central aisle close to the catering 😊. You can also purchase a copy of the HEART+ manual , the leading Quantitative Human Reliability Assessment tool.
See you there!
