Booking and Cancellation Policy

Introduction

This policy applies to any booking made on a Human Factors Expertise Ltd (the company) training course via this website https://hf-expert.co.uk. The date and location of training is shown on the booking page, along with the cost of attending the training which is payable in advance. The company endeavours to ensure that this information is kept accurate and up to date.

  1. Booking

The full cost of the training course is payable on booking, and a place will not be reserved on the course until payment in full is received. The booking covers:

  1. Provision of training and workshops led by professional Human Factors Specialists, training materials, work books, guides, and any other materials necessary for delivery of the training.

And for face to face courses:

  1. The accommodation for the training i.e. training rooms, break-out rooms and places in which to consume drinks and food during the training period;
  2. Lunch, coffee and snacks during the course of the day.

The booking does not cover overnight accommodation, breakfast or dinner. These are to be arranged separately by individual participants.

  • Withdrawal and refunds

If you find you are unable to attend the training, please let the company know as soon as possible to allow other applicants to purchase a place.

If you withdraw 8 weeks or more in advance, the company will refund 75% of the cost of the training course.

If you withdraw more than 4 weeks but less than 8 weeks in advance, the company will refund 50% of the cost of the training course.

If you withdraw with 4 weeks or less notice, the cost of the training course will not be refunded.

The company will not be responsible for refunding the cost of any travel or accommodation arrangements, or any other expenses you have incurred related to your booking.

  • Cancellation and Rescheduling  

In exceptional circumstances, it may be necessary for the company to cancel a training event, or move the date, time or location of the training. In such circumstances, the following will apply:

  • Cancellation

The company will endeavour to notify you of the cancellation as soon as possible prior to the date of delivery. The company will in the first instance, and where possible, offer you a place on the next delivery of the training course. If this no longer meets your requirements or the training course is no longer being delivered, the company will refund you the full cost of the training course.

The company will not be responsible for refunding the cost of any travel or accommodation arrangements, or any other expenses you have incurred related to your booking.

  • Rescheduling  

In the event of the company needing to move the date and time of the training course, the company will notify you of the change as soon as possible prior to the date of delivery. The company will give you a minimum of 8 weeks’ notice of the new date and time.

If you are unable to make the new date or time, the company will offer you a place on the next delivery of the training course. If this no longer meets your requirements, the company will refund you the full cost of the training course.

The company will not be responsible for refunding the cost of any travel or accommodation arrangements, or any other expenses you have incurred related to your booking.

  • Change of Location

If it is necessary to change the location of the training course, the company will notify you of the change as soon as possible. The company will endeavour to identify a new location in the same general area as the original venue. As a minimum, the company will ensure that the new venue is in the same city or local authority area as the original venue. If possible, the new venue will have similar access to public transport and parking. The company endeavours to find venues and locations that are in any case disability friendly. The company will not refund the cost of the training, or any other costs you have incurred, if you decide not to attend at the new location.
